• CIVILITY   I will encourage positive, solution-oriented community involvement, broaden committee participation, improve communication, and support consensus building.  I will continue to be open and direct, and will honor all opinions. City employees and the public must always be treated with respect.

•STABILITY   I will encourage city government to find efficient ways to provide our core services. I will continue to press for financial policies that provide economic stability. It is time for leadership that will take a positive and constructive approach toward management.

•SUSTAINABILITY I will support Newport's sustainability efforts. I will promote a transportation system that includes sidewalks, cycling routes, and public transportation. With progressive planning, signage, lighting, and better landscaping practices, we will "spruce up" Newport to sustain tourism and livability.
